Summary The Acute Care Inpatient Social Worker assumes responsibility for the provision social work services to veterans and their families receiving care at Salisbury VA Medical Center (SVAMC) inpatient medical, surgical or ICU units. Services provided include crisis intervention, discharge planning, case management, clinical treatment, advocacy, educational services and coordination of linkages to other appropriate VA or community service providers and/or agencies as needed by client. Responsibilities Duties include but not limited to: Clinical Functions: Incumbent is a professional social worker assigned to the SVAMC inpatient medical/surgical/ICU units.
