Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Social Worker in our Disabled Childrens Team East. Our team consists of Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, Social Work Assistants and Occupational Therapists and you will work closely with our colleagues in Disabled Young Peoples Social Work Teams and other key agencies, such as Health, Education and the voluntary sector.

The Disabled Childrens Team supports children and young people who are severely and/or profoundly disabled. On their 18th birthday our young people transition to our partner 18 to 25 Disabled Young Peoples Team.

The team covers Thanet, Canterbury, Herne Bay and Whitstable areas. We are seeking a flexible, highly motivated person to carry a caseload comprising of children in need, children in care and, if suitably experienced, child protection cases.
