Position Description – Pastor

First Presbyterian Evangelical Church, Montezuma, Iowa

First Presbyterian Evangelical Church of Montezuma is a small but vibrant congregation in the heart of Iowa. We are seeking a pastor who has been ordained or is qualified to be received or ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC). 

Pastoral Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Oversee the corporate worship of the church to ensure that it remains God-focused, scriptural, and edifying. 

2. Demonstrates strong theological preaching and teaching gifts with sound scriptural application.

3. Promote and articulate the vision God has given to the church. This is done through preaching, teaching, and written articles, as well as through regular interactions with committees and members of the congregation.
