The Role:

We are looking for Sound Assistants to join our freelance Talent Pool, based in Leeds. There are currently no available positions; however, when opportunities arise, successful candidates from our talent pool may be offered contracts on a freelance basis, as and when required.

You will provide first-line technical support for our Sound Department and Production in acquiring the best possible sound while filming on location and in the studio. Emmerdale is recorded both in a studio and on location, utilising Fisher booms and fishpoles.

In this role, you will operate fishpoles during the recording of scenes, drive the production van between Base and Locations, and actively rig and de-rig specialised sound equipment both before and after the shoot begins. Driving duties are an essential part of this role.
