Overview

The Data and Technology Department is responsible for tasks related to customs statistics, information services, ICT production and development, material services, and laboratory services.

The Customs Laboratory unit handles laboratory investigations necessary for food and consumer goods surveillance, customs clearance, taxation, inspections, crime prevention, and other customs activities, as well as laboratory research and related expert tasks, laboratory operations development, and cooperation with authorities. The Customs Laboratory is an accredited testing laboratory T006 by FINAS, with accreditation requirement SFS-EN ISO/IEC 17025. The position is within the Shared Services group of the Customs Laboratory.
