Specialist Operator - Asphalt Plant

Higgins Hawke’s Bay is looking for an experienced and reliable Specialist Operator - Asphalt Plant to join our team. This is a key operational role responsible for the safe, efficient and high‑quality production of asphalt to support our projects across the region.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating and monitoring the asphalt plant to ensure consistent, high‑quality production
• Carrying out daily plant checks, maintenance tasks and troubleshooting issues
• Coordinating with dispatch, transport and paving teams to meet production schedules
• Ensuring all plant operations comply with safety, environmental and quality standards
• Maintaining accurate production records and reporting any issues promptly
• Assisting with stockpile management, loader operation and general yard duties
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to optimise plant performance
