Position Overview

Pathology Resident at Lapland Central Hospital, Rovaniemi. The role is based in a small northern hospital offering a supportive community, digital pathology, and an accredited laboratory that examines approximately 13,000 tissue and cell samples annually and conducts medical death investigations.

Responsibilities

• Examine and process around 13,000 tissue and cell samples per year.
• Conduct medical death investigations.
• Handle both traditional histology (tissue sections) and molecular pathology rapid tests.
• Apply digital pathology techniques for tissue diagnostics.
• Work independently and manage diverse sample materials.

Qualifications

• Licensed medical practitioner under the Act on Healthcare Professionals (559/1994) Section 4.
• Experience or willingness to work with a wide variety of sample materials.
