GENERAL SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of a pharmacist to process orders for medications that require special handling, preparation and/or accountability. The technician has and maintains expertise and skill in the safe handling and use of medications which require special handling, preparation and/or accountability.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. Requires a valid Pharmacy Technician license from the State of Michigan. Requires at least one year of experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician and/or Retail Pharmacy Technician (retail experience applies only to medication history positions. Requires the ability to maintain records and perform calculations.
