Job description:

+ Receive, unpack, and process clinical and COVID-19 specimens from various collection sites, branches, and ports.

+ Verify specimen labels, requisitions, and accompanying documentation for accuracy and completeness.

+ Review specimens to ensure all required information is present and correct before processing.

+ Prepare specimens for testing, including:

+ Staging specimens

+ Centrifugation

+ Serum separation

+ Blood smear preparation


+ Route specimens to the appropriate laboratory departments for analysis.

+ Perform data entry of test requisition and specimen information into laboratory systems.

+ Maintain productivity and quality standards while processing approximately 200–450 specimens per day.

+ Identify and escalate specimen discrepancies or missing information.
