Overview

This position coordinates and manages the Planning Department and associated Planners and / or BOM Specialists. Provides training and monitors planning activities and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements the company's production control functions including production planning/coordination, shop scheduling and dispatching, material requirements planning, planning systems, work-in-process tracking, material and labor variance controls, and manufacturing performance reporting.
• Ensure that S&OP and S&OE are sustained at the intended maturity level with adherence to the relevant weekly and monthly processes.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Responsible for planning, reviewing, and developing production procedures and personnel.
