Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a temporary opportunity in Zanesville, Ohio. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and post journal entries

+ Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

+ Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

+ Help prepare financial reports and schedules

+ Review transactions for accuracy and compliance

+ Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed
