Band 5 – £34,544 – £43,039 per annum plus £1,461 Distant Islands Allowance per annum.

36 hours a week, permanent position.

Location: Barra Nursing Team, St. Brendans Hospital, Isle of Barra, HS9 5XE.

An exciting opportunity has arisen on the Isle of Barra. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Staff Nurse to work rotational shifts within the nursing team, providing care in the Hospital (3 inpatients/Emergency room/Outpatient) in Castlebay and Community (CTAC/Palliative Care) covering the Isles of Barra and Vatersay. The post is varied and unpredictable, delivering care to the 1,300 residents of Barra across a range of settings. Advanced nursing skills and clinical experience in medical and acute care are required. Community, trauma, paediatric, palliative, scheduled and unscheduled care skills and knowledge are desirable with opportunities for further development.
