Steel Structure Designer

Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the conceptual design, structural analysis, and detailed shop drawing development of steel structures for industrial plants, multi-story frames, long-span roofs, etc.
2. Perform structural modelling, strength and deformation checks, and connection design in accordance with CTE DB SE-A (Spanish Technical Building Code – Steel Structures), EAE (Structural Steel Instruction), and Eurocode 3.
3. Prepare calculation reports (static, seismic, and wind analysis) using specialist software, and generate bills of materials and technical specifications.
   • Produce structural layout drawings and connection details; review shop drawings from steel fabricators.
4. Collaborate closely with architects, HVAC, process piping, and other disciplines to resolve clashes and establish interface conditions.
