The Department of Conservation (DOC) is seeking hands-on Conservation staff for a short-term, full-time role on Rakiura Stewart Island. You will conduct field research on the Critically Endangered Pukunui/Southern NZ Dotterel from 21 September 2026 to 15 January 2027. Role involves remote, exposed locations with huts/campsites.

10 days on, 4 days off roster; travel between Invercargill and Rakiura Stewart Island provided for rostered shifts. You'll contribute to data collection and reporting.
