Position Overview

The Store Room Technician is responsible for handling and administering spare parts stock. This includes receiving goods from suppliers, storing goods in the warehouse, issuing goods to Technicians, performing regular stock counts, and ensuring proper administration.

Responsibilities / Key Activities:

  • Receiving spare parts from suppliers
  • Escalating to suppliers in case of late delivery
  • Labeling spare parts and storing them in an orderly and structured way
  • Preparing goods issue of spare parts to preventive maintenance orders based on MRL list provided by Maintenance planner
  • Issuing spare parts to Technicians for Corrective Maintenance orders
  • Handling the return of unused spare parts
  • Monitoring & advising on minimum stock levels used as re-ordering points
  • Monitoring & replenishing pre-expended stock on the shopfloor
