JOB PURPOSE The Stormwater Drainage Specialists primary role is to assist the Operations Supervisor in the desilting and cleaning of any Stormwater drainage assets to the satisfaction of the Operations Supervisor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Highlight any possible safety risk before or while working to OS
- Monitor and guide pedestrians away from drainage working area
- Assist to carry out signalling duties for traffic where needed
- Assist to cordon off any opening which may cause danger
- Assist to deploy safety cones where needed
- Clearing of resultant debris from drainage works
- Operate high pressure jetting equipment
- Operate mechanised equipment
- Carry out desilting of various drainage assets
