Our Lake Vermont Project situated outside of Dysart, in Central Queensland is currently seeking a Health & Safety Superintendent to work within our collaborative Health, Safety and Training team working a 5/2, 4/3 roster. This project is one of Thiess’ largest and longest running projects.
This role will see you:
Thorough understanding of Queensland Coal Mining legislation and the typical risk profile of a complex open cut mining operationAble to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders including the Senior Leadership Team, line supervisors and the InspectorateAssist with the coordination of all functional safety activities and processes including facilitating risk assessments, systems development and the maintenance of relevant records and reports Effectively facilitate Incident Investigations ensuring a HSE presence is available wherever possible...
