Summary About the Position: This Supervisory Contract Specialist position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division, Galveston District with a duty station location of Galveston, TX. Responsibilities Serve as a Branch Chief with responsibility for one or more major programs (military, civil) of the district with unlimited Contracting Officer warrant. Advises acquisition personnel, Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, primary customers, and District office personnel in all phases of the acquisition process. Serves as a Team member on various District Project Delivery Teams working the development of business processes as well as participating on the Districts Project Delivery Management Team (PDMT). Provide comprehensive management oversight for all pre- and post-award procurement activities, including acquisition planning, SAM.gov synopses, bid openings, source selection panels, and price/cost evaluations.
