Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY MECHANICAL ENGINEER/ELECTRICAL ENGINEER in the Lifting and Handling Technical Division, Lifting and Handling Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the investigation, research and development, design and preparation of plans and specifications for a variety of alteration, maintenance and repair projects. You will direct and coordinate the work for the Branch to include changing shifts to meet the unpredictable changes in workload and scheduling. You will establish management controls, monitor and review work to assure that work is accomplished in accordance with schedule, budget and quality constraints. You will be responsible for maintaining effective relationships and resolving major differences between key subordinate staff members.
