Summary The Supervisory Medical Administrative Specialist, GS-0301-12, serves as full time Chief of the Member Services Unit for the San Francisco Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Healthcare System. The Chief of the Member Services Unit serves as the station liaison for all patient pre-registration, insurance identification, income verification, demographics, enrollment and benefits eligibility, health benefits counseling, beneficiary travel and decedent affairs. Responsibilities Major Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Exercise supervisory authorities and responsibilities involving work assignment and review, as well as the administrative and personnel management functions relative to the staff supervised.
