Summary The Chief of Health Informatics(CHI) functions for the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) with responsibility for establishing a formal medical informatics leadership presence at the Medical Center. TVHS is a 416 bed, academically affiliated Medical Center. It is a tertiary care center, with a VA category 1a designation. The CHI is responsible for ensuring that knowledge of informatics is infused throughout the Medical Center and that health information issues affecting daily care.
