Summary:


Under the supervision of the OR Manager, the support specialist is responsible for the overall administrative and reception duties of the OR. The support specialist is responsible for surgical scheduling 24 hours prior to the day of surgery and for any emergency and add-ons for the day. The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for collecting accurate surgical data/information and communicating with the OR Manager, OR Staff, physicians and other departments as appropriate. Coordinates the transport of patients within the hospital to the Operating Room and PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit).
