Requirements

• Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner (Basic Medical Degree MBBCh) or equivalent. Proof of registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist. Proof of current HPCSA registration card or receipt of current registration with HPCSA . MMed degree (ENT), Passed final exams with the CMSA. A minimum of 3 years’ experience required after qualifying as a specialist.

Duties

• The incumbent will be responsible for interviewing, investigating, diagnosing and overseeing the treatment of patients. Supervising Junior Doctors (undergraduate students, interns, community service Doctors and Registrars). Attendance of relevant administrative meetings like mortality and morbidity near miss meetings and completing MEDICO legal documents timeously (e.g death certificates).
