Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or manager, will be responsible for the completion of the Surgical Boarding Process, not limited to, and including the following:assures completion of the Surgical Boarding Sheet, verification of patient demographics to ensure that the financial viability of KCC is secured at the most basic level, obtains authorization and referrals for surgical procedures and or ancillary tests, and provides clerical support services as needed.

Responsibilities:

Works closely with members of the multidisciplinary team.Must cultivate a good rapport with physicians and staff to promote good working relations.

Utilizes knowledge of medical terminology to transcribe and prepare the OR Surgical Boarding form, patient medical information, medical reports and other materials as needed.
