Position Overview


  • Maintains surgical schedule for the practice.

  • Obtains authorizations when needed.

  • Coordinates with hospitals to schedule and arrange all patient pre-op testing, medical clearances, etc.

  • Triages patient phone calls appropriately for office visits, tests, surgeries and other encounters.

  • Prepares patients' charts and files related to patient records.

  • Contact and confirm patients dates and times of procedures with patients.

  • Maintains physician's weekly schedule.

  • Coordinates academic meetings including travel arrangements.

  • Ability to deal with and maintain confidential information.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to calculate and collect cash transactions.
