Full Time Position
6:45pm - 7:15am / Monday & Thursday / 9:00am-9:00pm TBD
Assist the surgeon(s) by providing basic instrumentation and sterile techniques for procedures performed in the Operating Room and provide patient care in the clinical setting. The Surgical Tech II is also responsible for the care, handling and maintenance of basic surgical equipment and instrumentation.
Responsibilities:
- Performs patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider and Registered Nurse in accordance with the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN), Association of Surgical Technologist (AST) standards, and hospital policies and procedures. (20%)
- Ensures effective and safe care for patients by complying with organizational staffing and scheduling guidelines such as: attendance, floating, mandatory overtime, on-call, holiday coverage and disaster response. (5%)
