Job Description
As a Survey Crew Chief, you will plan, organize, and direct the work of one or more crew members engaged in field surveying. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Reading and interpreting civil engineering and survey plans
- Applying thorough knowledge of standard land survey procedures, accurate note-keeping, and field execution for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys
- Operating and/or directing the operation of electronic data collectors, GPS equipment, optical and robotic total stations, and digital/optical leveling equipment
- Making sound, informed decisions in the field
- Motivating, training, and leading crew and staff members on proper field procedures
