Monitor and operate IBM i (AS400) systems to ensure optimal performance and availability
Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs and automated schedules using scheduling tools
Ensure jobs run within defined SLAs and accelerate issues promptly when deviations occur
Perform daily operational tasks such as system checks, backups verification, and job restarts
Respond to system alerts, incidents, and operational issues according to SOPs; coordinate with application, infrastructure, and support teams during incidents or maintenance activities
Maintain and update operational documentation, run books, and shift handover reports
Support planned system maintenance, upgrades, and disaster recovery activities; follow security, compliance, and change management procedures
Provide shift coverage as required (including nights, weekends, or holidays, if applicable)
