Responsibilities

• Plan, deploy, upgrade, migrate, and troubleshoot DB2 system.
• Ensure proper configuration and tuning of database system.
• Ensure successful backup and disaster recovery processes for database system.
• Perform restores as needed.
• Configure automated database deployment.
• Interface with the development team to aid in design and development tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• with at least 3+ years' administering IBM DB2 on Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Proficient in IBM AIX, Unix and Power environment.
• Fluent in DB2 programming language.
• Proficient in database design and development.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization.
