Job Summary

Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)The Tactical Buyer will be responsible for effective and timely execution of purchasing activities for an assigned group of commodities and/or assignments within Hitachi Rail’s Supply Chain organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Review all received requisitions for completeness, including part numbers, descriptions, quantities, delivery dates, special terms and/or conditions, and appropriate approvals.
• Place orders and enter into contracts for procurement with approved suppliers as necessary for required materials and/or services.
• Document justification of purchase decisions and obtain procurement approval authority as necessary based on the size and complexity of the materials and/or services being procured.
