• Develop, manage, and maintain the master tag numbering index (or “tag register”) for the entire FPU project, in accordance with company and international standards (e.g., ISA-5.1, ISO/IEC 81346).
• Assign unique and logical identification tags (e.g., PT-101, FV-203A) to all field instruments, control valves, analyzers, electrical components, and junction boxes.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of the tagging system across all engineering disciplines and documentation.
• Ensure all tags are correctly reflected in key project documents, including:
• Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Loop Diagrams
• Instrument Index
• Input/Output (I/O) Lists
• Wiring and Termination Diagrams
• Liaise with the Lead Instrument, Electrical, and Process engineers to resolve any tagging conflicts or issues.
