Our Client, an Oilfield Services company, is looking for a Tape Librarian for their Houston, TX location. Responsibilities:

+ Serve as primary individual to perform projects within the tape library.

+ Serve as primary focal point for the xmittal program.

+ Coordinate and/or manage all tape pools (create, expand, reduce pools and create labels for all tapes)

+ Verify all disks/tapes for outgoing client shipments.

+ Register all incoming media and document it.

+ Address any media catalog issues for users or archive personnel.

+ Manage all media error reporting, including flagging media with soft and hard errors in appropriate catalog.

+ Coordinate with Computer Operators for daily operations and media needs for the tape library (silo).

+ Generate media reports as required by DMS & IT DP.
