ROLE OVERVIEW

Role configuring, deploying, and managing Vertex O Series as tax rules evolve. The engagement covers the full Vertex lifecycle — from instance setup and installation through ongoing configuration and production deployments. Work is structured on a shared, part-time basis across a small consulting team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Vertex Configuration

• Analyze new and evolving tax rules and map them to Vertex configuration settings
• Configure tax rules, Boolean logic conditions, product/service taxability codes, and jurisdictional settings
• Translate complex tax requirements and conditional rule structures into accurate Vertex rule definitions
• Work with the team to validate configurations against real-world transaction scenarios
• Document configuration decisions, rule logic, and change rationale for audit and handoff purposes ...
