Overview
The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s tax planning, compliance and reporting functions. This role ensures adherence to all federal, state and local tax regulations and monitors current and impending changes. The Tax Manager also provides support related to shareholders’ individual and trust income tax requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage, prepare and review federal, state and local tax returns for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, individuals and trusts.Manage information gathering for preparation of corporate tax returns prepared by third parties, including preparation of LIFO and Unicap calculations, review of the company’s tax depreciation schedules and maintenance of airplane disallowance calculations.Liaise with government authorities regarding notices and audits of federal and state tax issues.Assist with the prepa...
