Job Description

The mission of the Bureau of Tuberculosis Control (BTBC) is to prevent the spread of tuberculosis (TB) and eliminate it as a public health problem in New York City. As the TB Hotline Coordinator (Junior Public Health Nurse), you will manage the Bureau of Tuberculosis Control's primary point of contact for inquiries related to tuberculosis. Leveraging your clinical knowledge and nursing background, you will provide essential support by answering calls from healthcare providers, hospitals, and the public, assessing their needs and providing accurate information.

This role requires excellent communication, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate a range of challenging clinical and logistical scenarios.
