About the Role

Team Leader LGV Driver in the Council’s Environmental Services, based at the Depot at Newton Bar, Wakefield.

Responsibilities

• Drive various LGV and non‑LGV vehicles.
• Lead a small operational team.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure FTA vehicle compliance.
• Collect waste and recyclable materials from across the district.

What will be expected from me?

• Act as an ambassador for the Council when dealing with stakeholders and customers, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Deal with conflict situations.
• Be self‑motivated and able to motivate others.
