We are seeking an experienced Excitation Technical Field Advisor (TFA) with strong PSS testing capability for several upcoming 2-week contract assignments taking place in England and Wales throughout 2026 .

Role Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of generator excitation systems , including AVR hardware, control logic and protection schemes.
• Proven experience in commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of excitation and voltage-control equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and control schematics .
• Practical experience with PSS (Power System Stabilizer) testing , tuning and parameter optimisation.
• Understanding of power system dynamics , grid stability and generator response to disturbances.
