What is the Opportunity?

The New Nuclear Development group, provides engineering, procurement, construction and project management support at the early stages of new nuclear projects. The projects could be for small modular reactors (SMR) or for large scale nuclear. Project support could include estimating, technology assessments, constructability reviews, schedule development, contract development and other activities that are typically required by clients in the early stages of project development. The work could be Aecon only or in a Joint Venture partnership with other organizations. Our projects can be in Canada, the US or Internationally. Aecon's leadership role in these early stages is critical to ensure that either Aecon alone or as part of a JV is set up for success as we move into the execution phase.
