The Role

The Technical Counter‑Surveillance Unit (TCU), operating within the National Cyber Security Centre defends NewZealand from the most serious and complicated malicious cyber activity.

Our foreign adversaries are often well‑resourced, highly‑skilled and good at concealment. As such, we need to be constantly aware of who the real adversary might be, what their objectives and targets are, and how best to uncover their trail and defeat them.
