DESCRIPTION

AWS is looking for an Engineering and Operations Technician to join its Infrastructure Operations team. The technician oversees maintenance of electrical, mechanical and fire/life safety equipment inside data centers, ensuring uptime better than 99.999%. The role also drives innovation, reduces operating costs and is the primary responder to electrical and mechanical incidents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the primary business interface with the Colocation provider’s technical and facility teams to address day‑to‑day operational requirements within the Availability Zone (AZ).
• Supervise on‑site Colocation providers and contractors, ensuring compliance with practices, procedures and local legislation.
• Manage Colocation suppliers to conduct routine maintenance and respond to emergency services for critical systems (switchgear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, computer roo...
