The Paramedic is responsible for providing emergency medical care and hospital transport to citizens calling 911. The Paramedic classification represents a high level of urgent response care provided for out of hospital medical or traumatic emergencies. Paramedics must possess high levels of treatment skill and several certifications: Paramedic Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification, CPR Certification, and Emergency Vehicle Operations Course Certification.
