Position Overview
Contribute to the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board as a Temporary Payroll and Pensions Coordinator. This role focuses on payroll processing and pension management within a large multi-union environment.
Reporting to the Manager of Payroll Services, you will engage in biweekly payroll preparations for various employee categories while ensuring precise payroll records. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail and integrity, managing compliance with pension regulations and handling inquiries from staff and external parties effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and verify payroll data for hourly and salaried employees
• Calculate adjustments including retro pays and terminations
• Audit payroll information against collective agreements
• Manage all processes for OMERS & OTPP pension plans
• Liaise with departments to ensure accurate payroll processing
