Test planning and execution
• Responsible for developing test cases, planning test set ups as per defined test strategy in order to assess the functional and non-functional quality and reliability of a component and/ or a system.
• Responsible for developing test scripts and maintaining them, in case of automated testing. 
• Responsible for reviewing the requirements, feature descriptions, user experience specifications etc. to ensure that they are testable from functional and non-functional points of view.
• Accountable for performing the tests with safety precautions. 
• Responsible for ensuring agreed levels of test coverage, where needed collaborating with other stakeholders such as development teams. 
• Responsible for maintaining the test cases to ensure their continued effectiveness
• Responsible for performing testing at customer sites and at external labs.
