Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to plan, coordinate and implement Therapeutic Recreation programs for psychiatric inpatients, function as a member of the treatment team, maintain patient records, and participate in the training of Therapeutic Recreation interns.
This position will support the mission of the organization through active participation in clinical efforts to provide treatment in a recovery-oriented environment. The foundation of a recovery-oriented environment is respect and a commitment to safety in the least restrictive manner possible.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in therapeutic recreation or recreation with a major in therapeutic recreation from an accredited college or university.
