Description:

Prepares, calibrates and maintains production machinery. Owns mould loading (mounting, aligning and adjust tooling in equipment so that parts are machined or formed accurately, safely and within production tolerances), process setting, and first-off approval. Bridge between Production, Toolroom, and Quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Mould Handling: Load/unload moulds safely using crane. Connect water, hydraulic, electrical, ejector.

2.Process Set-up: Set parameters per process sheet – temp, pressure, time, speed. Do dry run + wet run.

3.Troubleshooting: Attend defects – flash, short shot, sink, warpage. Adjust process + record changes.

4.Changeover: SMED target <30 min for same tonnage. Color/material change, purging.

5.Maintenance: Monitor machine performance. Clean moulds, check water lines, apply rust preventive. Raise toolroom job cards.
