Position Overview
Summary:Coordinate engineering and technical activities concerned with the design, development, fabrication, and implementation of tooling and equipment. Utilizing best engineering practices, policies, and procedures to coordinate the tooling and equipment development activities for new processes, products, and current production. Responsibilities:-Design plastic injection tooling.-Creates 3D models, 2D drawings, BOM, Gantt charts, process sheets.-Leads projects, sets expectations, engages, guides, and provides support for toolmakers and CNC programmers to meet project deadlines.-Lead DFM meetings to ensure that the customer's technical needs operations' performance needs are met. -Develops and coordinates tool due diligence to ensure manufacturability. -Supports tool shop activity to ensure fabrication is to specifications, process needs, cost requirements and schedules. -Supports injection molding by designing fixtures, gages, end of arm tooling (EOAT), and other basic tool ...
