Primary Objective Assist the Gateway Trade Manager in overall commercial activities of your assigned service(s) and geographic area(s).
Key Responsibilities - Monitor vessel profile, drive cargo mix to maximise profitability
- Proactively recommend trade strategy (to adapt to, and capitalise on changing market conditions) in terms of pricing adjustments, constraining or relaxing booking releases (in general, and also by specific segments - TL strategy/colour to apply)
Fulfilment of country origin allocations - Monitor and understand origins’ ability and/or challenges to achieve allocated volumes
- Help resolve issues such as pricing, feeder, equipment shortage, etc.
- Drive discussion with origin and HO teams to finetune allocations as necessary dependent on conditions
Customer performance (Trade PIC) - Negotiate pricing and volume commitment (MQC)
