The Licensed Tradesperson maintains, diagnoses, tests, and repairs material handling equipment (MHE) such as conveyors, gearboxes, rollers, drive units, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure equipment operates with minimal downtime in compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular preventative/predictive maintenance on MHE to maintain equipment in a good state of repair, meeting health and safety standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical failures in MHE to reduce downtime and downstream impact on service delivery.
• Inspect and monitor MHE and related facilities.
• Prepare and maintain reports, such as safety and operational reports.
• Coordinate and document work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
