Position Overview

  1. Ensure traffic laws and regulations are enforced by field staff in coordination with law enforcement and RTA officials.
  2. Respond to traffic incidents coordinate clearance operations promptly and minimize congestion and disruption to public roads.
  3. Monitor and manage daily road traffic operations on-site to maintain safe and efficient vehicle and pedestrian flow.
  4. Notify traffic police and RTA control room prior to commencing diversion or traffic control works ensuring all necessary approvals are in place.
  5. Ensure all traffic signage is clean visible legible and appropriately positioned for visibility during day night and adverse weather conditions.
  6. Ensure full on-site compliance with RTA WZTMM (Work Zone Traffic Management Manual) and other applicable regulations.
  7. Maintain accurate records of daily traffic operations crew briefings incidents and accident reports and any deviations from planned activities.
