Transnet Freight Rail is inviting applications for the position of Trainee Train Assistant .

The successful candidate will assist the Train Driver in the safe and efficient driving and handling of different types of trains and locomotives.

This includes airbrake, vacuum, high-speed, heavy-haul and passenger train operations.

The purpose of the role is to help ensure that customer freight and cargo reaches its destination safely, in good condition and on time.
